Al Jawhara Albrahim: King Fahd was the best of people to his family … and Haifa bint Faisal: he was keen to introduce science into every Saudi home

Her Royal Highness Princess Latifa bint Abdulaziz Al Saud, yesterday evening (Friday), sponsored women's ceremony for the exhibition and seminars of the history of King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz "Fahd …spirit of leadership", organized by the sons and grandsons of King Fahd (God bless his soul) in cooperation with the "King Abdulaziz Foundation", at Riyadh International center for conventions and exhibitions, in the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Al Jawhara bint Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Princess Al Jawhara Albrahim, wife of Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, God bless his soul.
Al Jawhara Albrahim delivered a speech in which she confirmed that King Fahd was the best of people to his family, imitating the Prophet peace be upon him in this regard.
She also said "the spirit of leadership matured within Fahd and was backed by deep experiences and expertise", pointing to his great achievements which had a major impact in the development of the Kingdom and its advancement in all fields.
Furthermore, the President of Women's Committee of the exhibition, Her Royal Highness Princess Haifa bint Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, reported in her speech that King Fahd realized that the cornerstone of development and progress is the development of the individual and his skills and efficiency and which can only be achieved through science. So, science was his main concern since he was in charge of the Ministry of Education, she quoted his saying: "science has to enter each house in this country, and citizens have to be enlightened in their fields and work places with the light of knowledge."
She added that King Fahd realized in an early stage that the basic essence of planning theories is the ability to establish a wise balance between resources and needs, and that the most important resource for growth and development is the enlightened citizen with science and knowledge,. From this point came his ambitions to continue the progressive effort to develop long-term objectives in leading development plans. She also said: "The clarity of vision by knowing reality, and identifying the existing targets to participate in work and take responsibility crowned by ambitious are the foundations of the leadership spirit of King Fahd, who was a decision maker and a man of effort and giving"
The ceremony witnessed the display of a documentary film that provides aspects of the biography of the late King, both political and humanitarian aspects, according to stories told by his brothers and his children and grandchildren, and headed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
Afterward, Her Royal Highness Princess Latifa bint Abdulaziz, inaugurated "Al Fahd" exhibition which displays the biography of Fahd from his birth till his death, his personal belongings, medals and accolades granted to him, several official documents and manuscripts, documentaries and 1000 photographs some of it is published for the first time.
It is worth mentioning that the activities and events for families, youth and children are held for two weeks, including 55 training workshop on leadership traits for youth and leadership upbringing of children, under the supervision of 25 trainers and in the presence of 2500 trainees, the exhibition also includes children's Laboratory.
